3 Challenges

  • Challenges

Students will take up different challenges to change their lifestyle. There will be 10 challenges at the beginning.

The first set of challenges will be created according to discussions with the teachers and students. The second set of challenges will be chosen by students. The third set will choose each student on their own.

Each student can pick a challenge that is suitable for them. They will keep a diary of records of activities to follow their progress.

After completing a challenge, students will be given badges.

After each challenge students will be given a self-monitoring questionnaire to analyze the process of the taken challenge. There will be two different questionnaires according to their success. When the student is successful they will answer the questions summarizing their motivation; what helped them to complete the task. When the student is unsuccessful they will answer questions analysing their failure; What were the obstacles? What mistakes have they made? What could help them to succeed if they try again?

These kinds of formative assessments will help them in their self-improvement.

To support the students’ resolution to face the challenge there will be created forums for each challenge on the Twinspace, where the students could share their experiences. Each forum will be given a mentor from teachers across the partners’ schools. The mentor will monitor the discussion and answer students' questions.

At the end of this phase, the evaluation will be done. Through questionnaires and discussions with the teachers and students, the benefits of the first phase will be analysed and the next phase of challenges will be modified accordingly.
