ABOUT STEP 4

Step 4 is all about the Sun and music! Partners from Greece will create lyrics inspired by the book "The Ray-Weaver" by Vassiliki Nevrokopli, the melody of their song, they will record it, share it with partners from Malta who will translate the lyrics in their language. A thorough collaborative presentation of the activity will be created by participating teachers. Finally, we will all enjoy learning and singing together the original song "Here comes the Sun" by the Beatles.

2. ONE MORE COLLABORATION

So we had an original song in Greek, a Maltese song about the sun and lastly a collaboration of none other than the English song by the Beatles ' Here comes the Sun'. This song is partly sung by the Greek students (the 1st part) and partly sung by the Maltese students ( the second part). Hope you enjoy as much as we did whilst creating this song mix!!:)

RECORDED WITH ONLINE COLLABORATION DUE TO PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN

An interschool collaborative activity! Pupils from Oreokastro created the song with the support of Maria Panousiadou & Anna Gerasi (music teacher), pupils from Kalkara translated it in Maltese with the support of Graziella Scicluna and parents participated too! MATERIAL FOR THE COLLABORATION ON THE SONG "IF I WERE..."

Pupils for Oreaokastro, inspired by the book "The Ray-Weaver" wrote lyrics with the support of the class teacher.

Pupils created the melody with the support of our school's music teacher Anna Gerasi who recorded each idea and editedthe final score, played and recorded it on the piano.
