Another task of our topic HEALTHY BODY, HAPPY MIND was to prepare Healthy Life Rules posters. Our students not only created beautiful posters, but also presented them to other students at school promoting healthy lifestyles. Students from Turkey and Portugal also worked in international groups creating collaborative posters using web 2.0 tools.
We prepared Healthy Life Rules posters and our students presented them to the younger pupils at our school. In addition we created collaborative posters with our partner school from Portugal using Web 2.0 tools.
For our task about healthy food and healthy lifestyles we have tried to include as many students, teachers, clubs, institutions and parents as we could. The result couldn’t be better! Our students created lifestyle posters and attended several events on the subject. Our Eco-School Club helped students planting, digging and selling vegetables, fruits, potatoes… The Healthy Life Club from our school did an extraordinary job by inviting nurses, a dietitian and two cooks who taught us how to buy and cook healthy food and live healthy. We had the chance to create (and taste!) healthy snacks and desserts at school and teachers and parents took part in the funniest fitness event, dancing and jumping and making the best out of it! We also had some important talks which were attended by the members of our community and had the presence of the Regional Education Secretary who was very proud of our school and the way we were leading students and families to a healthier lifestyle.
