Why Latin?

Latin, the lingua franca of the past, can still be as much of a stepping stone to Europe and the rest of the world as English is today. Both languages have served as definitive references for the Italian, Greek and Romanian sections in this  comparative dictionary dedicated to the aquatic environment.
The voices of the schools located in Pioltello (Italy), Tulcea (Romania) and Gonnoi (Greece) are those of communities longing to unite, both virtually and physically,  and turn their respective differences into invaluable tools for mutual understanding and fruitful future cooperation.
