STEM activity
Make a robot that calculate the bad feelings of the class. More specific, every time that a student in a class feels offended from the others, he/she will press a button and this action will make the robot to change color or make its “face” become sad. So, in the end of the lesson the students will have the visualization of the bad feelings in their class.

Greek team is working the code activity with micro:bit processor. They want to create a feeling detector in order to calculate the bad or the good feeling in a class. In the end of a lesson students click on the right or on the left button depending how they feel. Every click make turn on the red, orange or green light of our robot. So this way, we have the visualization of the feelings of our class with an easy and direct mode.

Our robot, Buddy is created by the greek team.
Greek team has created a video and a ppt with all the steps in order to make the same construction.
Giannis is the student who makes the speekage (voice-over) to the video tutorial below

Hope you can manage it and make your own feeling detectors! If you have any question, our team is ready to help. You can post your question on the forum.

Many thanks to your robotic team to create a tutorial for us - especially to Giannis doing the speaking and explaining part. Well done!
It is the first time ever that the students started coding - it is so much fun and easier than it seemed to be once they got started. We are sure that we can manage to build our own feeling detector soon. Our students did some work on that up to now.
Furthermore ....
... our students had another wonderful idea to spread love and understanding to keep up the peace. As our students are leaving school soon, they wish to give their ideas to other students in lower classes at our school.
They intend to code the micro:bit devices with a little activity game for our students of the 6th grade. The game is based on counting the acts of kindness the sixth graders are going to do among the group within a certain period. Thus our project ideas will be spread to even more students at our school - combined with an exiting action using the micro:bits.
The students hand the coded micro:bit devices to the sixth graders next week - this could be a great activity to finish the last full week at school.
----------------------------------------------------
Today the 6th graders of our school have been involved in our project.
We talked about the importance of having a good social climate at school to keep up peace at school.
The students found out about acts of kindness everybody can do for a good understanding and got to know the "act of kindness roulette" of the Greek and Italian school.
They made "feeling" mindmaps and coloured a picture of a robot. They found names for their own feeling "robot".
They got to know how the feeling detector is to be used. After the instruction Alissia did a tutorial how to use the microbit.
Some students made a further video about which signs the feeling detector shows. Both videos help the students to recheck and understand how to use the microbit feeling detector during the next days.
