Make a X'mas ecological decoration from recycled materials

  • The Greek pupils decided to make a Christmas Wreath made of used plastic cups and recycled paper. We studied the dangers of plastic the climate, marine life and the food chain.

We collected plastic cups from the teachers' room and the canteen.

We decorated them with our drawings.

We made a ribbon of recycled paper and we clipped them together.

In Serbia  we did our best to make Christmas decorations from recycled materials. We made two different types of decoration:

    1. Decoration made from old cardboard. We cut the shapes, decorated them with correction fluid and buttons. We used an old t-shirt to make string for hanging the decoration.

    2. Our second idea was to use pinecones. There is lots of pinecones around our school. We painted them white, and then added glitter and mini pom-poms.

We glued some string on some of them so we can hang them.We glued bottle tops on some of them, to look like little Christmas trees. How do you like them?

In SPAIN we made Xmas trees using different recycled materials: plastic caps, buttons, paper, tin foil, rubber bands, laces, wool...

Each student was free to be creative:
