“Software engineer”. Learning activities in Gedminai Progymnasium.

On April 4-8, 2022, students participating in the “Occupy The Future” school exchange partnership project participated in the 4th LTT activity of the international program, during which students and teachers from Portugal, Greece and Turkey visited Klaipėda Gedminai Progymnasium. The main purpose of the activity was to introduce project participants to the profession of software engineer. The students were introduced to the profession of software engineer and the peculiarities of their work. After getting acquainted with this profession, the project participants were divided into international groups, where they worked together for a whole week using their creativity and already acquired knowledge. Project participants participated in a lecture on the advantages and disadvantages of website development and software engineering, later students programmed and created codes with the help of a teacher. The students also had time to see the Curonian Spit, to explore the famous places of Klaipėda and to visit the Klaipėda Castle Museum. All students got to know each other better by working and communicating together. This LTT gave students and teachers the opportunity to improve, share experiences and discover new things.
