Tips for using video calling in the classroom:

1 Practice with your partner using the equipment in advance so that you are sure everything will work (speakers, internet, camera, etc)

2 Have a plan which you have agreed with your partner before the call.

3 Discuss internet safety and behaviour.

4 Make sure the students know what they are going to say, or talk about.

5 Practice for the call so that the students are comfortable.

6 Have a backup activity in case the video call doesn't work.

7 Ask the students to reflect on the activity - what was useful, what did they learn, what could be better next time?
