Short-Term Exchanges of Groups of Pupils in Lousado-Porto (Portugal)

"We are Entrepreneurs"

The activity in Portugal focused the attention on the main instruments of a firm to use in communication activities. Students and teachers analysed their local products to be glocalised, to know the strategies to operate within the international transactions, but also their local market and the potential customers at the international level.

DAY 1 – Students and Teachers met Forave's school community including the headmistress. the activity continued with the visitation of the school and the presentation of the OPE activities and, in particular, the presentation of the UN Tourism and Innovation day, the most important museums and the presentation of the eCommerce portal of the project.

DAY 2 – Students participated in the workshop about How to Build a Landing Page and after, they visited the Railway Museum in Lousado. During the workshop, all students designed their landing page for their products to be glocalised.

DAY 3 – Visiting the Town of Guimarães. It is an important UNESCO site and it was important to know how the city takes economic advantage by tourism. During the tour, students and teachers visited the castle, the main square of the town and the historic centre of the city.

DAY 4 – Students and teachers visited the Company Incubator Center “Made IN” and the students' house "Casa Grande" in Famalicao. Students and teachers were involved in the activities in the presence of experts to know their business policies, marketing strategies, and how the incubators work including their dynamics with the local administration, university and stakeholders. 

DAY 5 - Workshop activities about the following theme: “How I became an entrepreneur”, “We are Entrepreneurs”. During the final event, each participant showed and share their results with the school community. It was important also the activity made on the local traditional Portuguese products to be glocalised.
