P5 Stay hydrated by drinking water

    -Purchase of water filter equipment to put in school. The community have access to treated water and quality

    Filter dispensers are installed in the school's corridors. Students and teachers very often use them. The school community has constant access to treated water.

    -Ecological Bottles Campaign: "hydrate yourself by drinking water responsibly". Purchase of ecological bottles to be use on school and stop the entrance of plastic bottle.

    Do you drink water? How much? How? Of what and why? How to be eco How to limit the use of plastic? All these questions were answered by students from class VI "a", Oliwia P, Karina M and Oliwia K who prepared a school campaign called DRINK WATER SMART AND RESPONSIBLE.

    -Purchase of ecological bottles to be use on school and stop the entrance of plastic bottle.

    During the campaign to promote drinking water, it turned out that in our school many students use ecological reusable bottles and water bottles. Since last year we also have drinking fountains installed in the school, which are used by students and teachers.

    In Portugal

    ESPOSENDE DISTINGUISHED WITH EXAMPLE QUALITY WATER SEAL FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION 2019
     

    The Municipality of Esposende, through the municipal company Esposende Ambiente, received the “Exemplary Quality Seal of Water for Human Consumption 2019”, awarded by the Regulatory Entity for Water and Waste Services (ERSAR), as a result of compliance, in the last year of regulatory assessment, from a tight set of criteria.
     

    The Municipality points out that “drinking tap water is cheaper and more ecological”, with water distributed by the municipal company Esposende Ambiente “100% safe”. Quality control is not limited to analyzes at the users' tap, with several “the places where quality control procedures are implemented”, adds the Municipality. In this context, the measures implemented that improve access and encourage the consumption of quality water in the municipality of Esposende stand out, such as the installation of free fountains in public places.

    Escola António correia de Oliveira, in collaboration with Esposende Ambiente will enjoy a drinking fountain at the school.

    The school is developing a campaign to use reusable and more environmentally friendly bottles.

                                                      IN TURKEY 

    We purchased water filters  for our school and put them in our first and second floor corridors so our students and other members of school  can reach clean,purified and quality water.

     

     

    Also the water treatments device was  installed in the taps in teachers' room and the need for clean water was met.

     

    We prepared Ecological Bottles Campaign: "hydrate yourself by drinking water responsibly.'' and related with this topic our students  watched  some presentation about the importance of water and it's effects on  our body.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    After giving our students the necessary information and reminders about the importance of water and effects on our body, we asked them to prepare slogans and posters  and then we exhibited these works on the boards.Thanks to our technology and design teachers and our students for their works :)

     

     

     

     

     

     

    At the end of the presentation,we ask them to bring their water to the school with ecological bottles rather than disposable plastic water bottles and want them  drink more water to be more healtier:)
