    Short description:

This will be not just an English project. It will be a social project that will make the students feel what other people feel in their special conditions. This can include blind people, people in wheelchairs, how grandparents lived their school years...To sum up, we’ll put our students in other people’s shoes!

Also, we’ll work on shoes design, shoes decoration, shoes inventions…and of course, we’ll do a huge voluntary collection of shoes to send to organizations to help people who need them.

    Work progress:

The students will start getting to know each other by making presentations of themselves, their families, school, hobbies, countries, etc. After that, they will get to know each other through different activities and will start working in international groups. They will choose a name, a logo and will start discussing about what “Empathy” is for them in different ways. They will start putting into the different shoes and start knowing, feeling and learning about each of the cases.

The students will work with their partners in international groups. They will meet through videoconferences and they will work cooperatively using the Twinspace tools such as chats, Forums, etc.

The teachers will create a Whatsapp group to communicate in a fast way and they will meet through videoconferences. They will share a Google Drive

    Expected results:

We expect to see an important improvement in our students’ English communicative skills (oral and written) and in their ICT competence. They will feel more confident when using their English and when working with peers from other countries. We also expect them to be aware of the problems other people have and to be kind and supportive to them. They will also create a final product together and, to do so, they will share their opinions through chats, forums and other tools on Twinspace. We want them to enjoy every step of the project.
