0. WORK PLAN

  • This project will take about 10 months, from September 2018 to June 2019. Every month students will carry out with cooperative and collaborative activities with partners.

    SEPTEMBER:

              Tools: computer and Internet (Genially.com)

    • Introducing students and getting to know partners. How? Creating an avatar for each class or each students.

    • Sharing games to learn more about Europe. How? Creating games or looking for games related with Europe.

    OCTOBER:

    • Creating a logo for our project. How? Each school have to propose one logo created by the use of the ICT or by drawing.

    • Sending Halloween cards to our partners.

    • Creating a presentation to explain our partners the students’ favourite stories. And including at the end, a quiz or matching game made by our students to check our partners' understanding.

    NOVEMBER:
    • Solve our partner's game.

    • Create 3 characters for our story. How? Each school has to propose 3 characters for the story. Each character has to be drawn by students so characters are going to be presented in a picture and they will have a name.

    • Contest to choose the characters we would like for our story.

    DECEMBER:
    • Writing the introduction paragraph of the story (Who? When?) The school who won the logo contest is going to start writing the story. Students from this school will write the introduction paragraph for the story. The story has to start with the sentence “Once upon a time…”

    • Sending cards to our partners to wish a happy New Year.

    JANUARY:
    • Writing the second paragraph of the story. (What?) The school who wrote the first paragraph has to choose the school who is going to continue writing the story.

    FEBRUARY:
    • Writing the conclusion of the story. The school who hasn’t participated on the writing yet is going to write the conclusion of the story.

    • Illustrating the story. How? We’re going to raffle (http://wheelofnames.com) which school has to illustrate each scene. Each school is going to illustrate a scene drawing by hand.

    MARCH:
    • Suggest a title for the story. Each school is going to propose a title for the story.

    • Voting for the definite title.

    • Editing the printed version (just in English). How? Each school is going to edit their own printed book. The book is going to be bind by the Scrapbooking technique. Each school have to make a short video or some pictures to show the final product.

    APRIL:
    • Recording students voices in English for the digital version (video story).

    • Recording students voices in their own language for the digital version (video story).

    MAY:
    • Creating the video story. How? Each school is going to edit their own digital version in their own language but with English subtitles.

    • Putting the multilingual video stories together. (This activity will be developed by Mrs. Rosa, Spain)

    • Give one printed version of the story to the school library.

    • Follow-up activities. How? Reading our story to younger students or dramatizing it.
