    WHAT IS NOAH'S PUDDING ?

We cook Noah's Pudding in Muharrem month according to the hijri calendar. It is customary in Turkish homes that bowls of this delicious pudding are handed out to as many people as possible believing that the pudding will bring "bereket"(blessing and abundance).

          It shows the importance of peace community and sharing. Many people care this activity in Turkey.

     

     

     

    WHY DO WE COOK NOAH'S PUDDING?

    There are a lot of rumors about this. One of them is about The Prophet Noah. He and his believers were on the ship and they faced some difficulties. There wasn't enough food to make a nice meal. But they only had few ingredients. The Prophet mixed all the food which they had. As A result of this, Noah's Pudding showed up. Also, It is called Ashura.

    Some people say " The Ashura is the oldest dessert in the world." It symbolizes some of values such as unity and solidarity,friendship... If you visit Turkey, you should taste "The oldest dessert in the world Ashura". We think you will like it!
