  • Ashura or Noah's Pudding

    The holy day is observed on the tenth of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic lunar calendar. Ashura marks the death of Hussain ibn Ali — the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson — as well as the day Noah left the ark and Moses was saved from the Egyptians by God.The month long festivities center on promoting friendship ,good relations between neighbours and universal peace and understanding .In Turkey ,a traditional dish is prepared during this month known as Noah’s pudding . It is meant to symbolıze the celebratory meal Noah made when he came off the Ark . It is a sign of peace ,of communıty ,of peace  and of a bright future .
