The last learning and teching week of our project was held in Marousi, Greece in the beginning of May 2022. The topic of the week was climate change and food - how to minimize food loss and how to eat climate friendly. 

In Marousi, students were able to listen to a lecture by climate scientists (from the University of Athens) about climate change and its effects. They handled the problem with the help of fairy tales and wrote empowering stories how they would save the wolrd as superheros!  Students also planned a food campaign for their own schools. 

Of course we also got to know the nature and amazing history and people of the Athens area. The week was full of work but we also enjoyed it very much! 

Students evaluated that the week in Maroussi succeeded very well! Working in groups succeeded, maybe because some of the students already knew each other from the mobility to Spain. All the languages of the project countries were used - even German, though they were not able to travel to Maroussi - and several new things were learned: how to work in groups, how to eat sustainably and what how meat production effects to climate. Students also evaluated that their social skills had been improved and they learned new cultural things. The best part was to get new friends in students opinion! Also the experience to spend time at host families was exellent.

13.00 departure from school by bus to go to the airport to pick up the spanish (around 14.00) and right away drive to ancient theatre of Thoriko, Lavrio, Sunio (sightseeing , walking and dinner)

Around 20.00 back to the hotel (host families wil be there)

TUESDAY 3-5-22

9.00 departure from school by bus to go to Parnitha mountain

10.00 arrival, hiking, outdoor activities, lunch Around

16.00 back to school

WEDNESDAY4-5-22

8.30-9.00 Welcome from our Headmistress

9.00-9.30 school guided tour

9.30-10.00 coffee break for teachers, snak for students

10.00-10.45 two scientists (S. Solomos and A. Pukpu) talk about climate crisis

10.45-10.55 short break

11.00-13.00 presentations from finnish students and greek students and workshop

13.00-14.30 picnic (lunch) at the park in front of the school ( it may last longer)

THURSDAY 5-5-22

8.30-9.30 guided tour to Maroussi with a qrcodes game

9.30-10.30 visit to the Townhall

10.30-11.00 coffee break for teachers, snak for students

11.00- 13.00 wwf workshop for the students and 3 teachers (one from each country)

11.30-12.30 the other three teachers present a good practice of their school or town online conference (Germany possibly takes part n this online meeting)

13.00-14.00 certificate of attendence, dancing, goodbye, cultural day (you may bring traditional food)

FRIDAY 6-5-22

8.00 departure from the hotel Cybele (spain with suitcases)

9.00 Acropolis hill guided tour

10.30 Acropolis museum guided tour

12.30 departure for the airport for the spanish

13.00 the rest spend the afternoon in the area of Monastiraki, have lunch there and return to the Hotel by underground
