GERMANY
We work on recycling materials and plastic in the ocean. This also concerns the animals that die because of the huge amount of plastic in the ocean.
Some of my students created this poster consisting of different coloured plastic.

On the poster: less plastic is more
(German word pun: ocean = meer; instead of more = mehr)
We worked on how plastic and organic materials decompose in the ocean. It takes 2 month for an apple to decompose whereas an orange already needs 5 years.

Plastic starts do decompose into micro plastic after 10 years. Micro plastic can never decompose. It is absorbed by plants and eaten by animals in the sea/ocean. A glass needs over 4000 years to decompose.
Students drew how it looks under water when you go diving.

This also effects animals that live underwater. The students painted how animals might look from inside when they eat up all the plastic. Many animals die, because plastic fills up their stomachs.
