Currently, technologies are used to meet day to day needs and made our living easier. Use of technology is essential, but excessive and unnecessary use leads to addiction. Society should be educated in how to use the technology and we consider that Digital Citizenship Education should be included in schools.

Our project goal is to educate students, but also society in using technologies responsible, for their benefit, participating in civic and social life. Students should be prepared to live in a digital society, to face the challenges of a digital world, to be prepared to work and to have a career facing the actual demands, using technology in a controlled way, not an abusive way.

The main objectives of the project are:

• to use technology smartly and responsible, improving digital competences, being informed about the advantages and the risk of abusive technology;
• to develop a digital citizenship education in schools and in local community, by developing and sharing informative materials;

-to use technology smartly, by realizing and sharing useful materials in the didactic approach. The project unites teachers and students from 4 countries: Italy, Romania, Turkey and Spain .

Our target groups in this project are our students aged 15-19, teachers, parents and other students, teachers in our local schools.

The main result of the project is the guide called Digital Citizenship Education, available in 5 languages (each country language and English), which will be shared in local community in digital and printed versions. The objective of the guide is to support students in developing a responsible and appropriate online behavior. Students and teachers will create lessons and they will test and evaluate the materials created. The schools involved will propose to include Digital Citizenship Education into curricula.
