C4 - Project meeting in Sweden

  • Mobility at Lerbergsskolan 19-21 April

    Tuesday 19 April:

The Swedish students, teachers and the headmistress welcomed the groups from Croatia, Poland, Portugal and Spain to Lerberget, in the school library. The Swedish teachers presented the schedule for the week and reminded everyone to send pictures and text for the Swedish school’s Instagram, during the days in Lerberget.

After the welcoming ceremony, everyone got on a bus which took us to Kullaberg, a beautiful coastal mountain area, situated a few kilometres from the school. Swedes spend a lot of time outdoors and this area has a lot of visitors that go hiking, biking or climbing. We met our guide who told us a little about Kullaberg and then told us to put on equipment - for abseiling! After being abseiled down the cliffs of Kullaberg, we had lunch outdoors, barbecue with hot dogs in a bun (another typical Swedish phenomenon with a hot dog “on the run” during outdoor activities) We spent the afternoon on a rib boat together with our guide from the hiking and abseiling -  to see porpoises! Unfortunately we didn’t see any this time though.

In the evening we all hung out in the hotel surroundings; Höganäs city beach, where playing football was a popular activity.

    Wednesday 20 April:

This day was spent at school. The students were divided into groups with participants from different countries in each group. Some of the groups spent the morning with the Music teacher who gave a brief introduction of  The Swedish Pop Phenomenon and afterwards the students created music of their own digitally, in the program Band Lab. The other groups worked in the Home Economics room, baking cookies of different kind, for an upcoming so called “Swedish fika”. While baking, they made baking tutorials for Tik Tok. In the afternoon the groups switched activity. Everyone had school lunch in the school canteen.

In the afternoon we went bowling at the nearby sports centre, in mixed groups for maximum interaction! The Swedish students invited the others to their homes in the evening, where they had a typical Swedish dinner.

    Thursday 21 April:

This day the students and teachers could choose to attend and participate in ordinary lessons at Lerbergsskolan. They attended Spanish, German, French, Science, Social Science and Handicraft. After evaluation of the mobility, film time with the Tik Tok tutorials and listening to the Band Lab productions, we had school lunch in the school canteen. We ended the day with a farewell party where we of course had a Swedish fika with everything that had been made the day before.
