Meeting minutes

  • Participants of the activities was students from the lowest to the highest of the academic spectrum of the five schools involved in the project. The starting point of the project was expected to introduce the students to the field of sustainable tourism by analyzing its meaning and its relation with environment and places.  The activities carried out by all the students participating in the project before the meeting; most of them were integrated in regular English, geography and Economy lessons. Some other activities was also involve other areas.
    DURING THE MEETING, the following activities have been taking place:
    Welcome speech by school coordinator, headmistress and education and culture representative in town hall
    Ice-breaking activities
    Talking about some of the most representative icons of the countries involved
    Winning Logo competition The winner has been SICILY
    Presentation of the WEBPAGE by the Cyprus School
    Presentation of eTwinning -Twinspace by Lithuanian school
    Presentation of the Social networks (instagram and facebook)
    Explanation of STUDENTS TASKS (creation of digital posters and 2 or 3-minute video promoting Osona)Students work in mixed groups and every group is expert on one specific topic
    PRESENTATION of students outcomes (Sustainable tourism, environment and places in every Region). While presenting, students have taken some notes about it in a grid
    Visit to l’Avenc Tavertet. A sustainable tourism hotel in a unique environment. Visit to the facilities where students have been able to see different ways of being sustainable (use of biomass, solar panels, windmill) and have learnt about sustainable business ideas
    Visit to Taverted and Rupit - two of the most treasured villages in Osona
    Visit to the local cheese company ‘El Serradet de Barneres’. Students have been able to see a local business, to learn how it works and to make themselves an artisanal ricotta cheese
    TASK 1: designing the digital posters. reflections about their own presentations
    TASK 2: designing the promotional video with all the material collected
    TALK about Sustainable Tourism and  its promotion in OSONA through real examples
    Visit to Esquerda and its museum in a Roda - Cultural heritage archaeological site
    Visit to the capital of our region: Vic. Catalan students have been the guides
    Cultural visit to Barcelona
    Students present their digital posters to the rest, giving special emphasis on the uniqueness of every region. They also present their promotional videos about the region of Osona
    Students carry out the evaluation of visit 1 through a google forms 
    Students play KAHOOT with 15 questions about the whole week
    The certificates of attendance were given to students and teachers. Students are told they will also be given an Europass for each mobility.
