Day 1
Introduction speech and welcome!!
Let's play - Kahoot - Introducing our countries: Students are required to answer simple questions about each Country involved in the project
Icebreaking game: Students, divided into groups, have to solve simple Maths exercises to find out through a code the welcome sentence
Day 2
First outdoor activity: Acquario of Genova is the largest in Europe and it hosts the most extensive range of aquatic biodiversity. You can see through the gallery a lot of species from all the sea of the world, dolfins, penguins, sharks, jellyfish and tropical and coloured fishes.
A Tour through "caruggi" in the afternoon
Day 3
Second outdoor activity - MILAN
Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci
In the morning students experience a laboratory activity named “Da Vinci’s machines”. Through this activity they can handle the models of flying and yard machines to explore and better understand Da Vinci’s technical research. The machine models can be studied in their components, disassembled and re-assembled to grasp the mechanical laws that govern them.
In the afternoon they go around the city to reach the Duomo
Day 4
Students, divided in 5 groups - one per forum -, are preparing presentations of the tasks achived before the meeting, integrating their works carried out in their Countries
Town Hall - a welcoming speech was held by Mayor of Casalpusterlengo
Students are thrilled to present their work to the audience.
They have done a great job!
Day 5
Students create posters that depict many professionals using Maths in their jobs and present them to the audience. They could be used also as a good tool to disseminate the project in each Country
Closing the meeting, thanking all the students, teachers and families
