Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May in Malta. The children in our Grade 2 class made a card and a little gift for their mother to show their love and appreciation.

We used the blow painting technique to paint a creative picture which we then framed by using some wooden pegs. 

On the front of the card we painted some flowers by using different coloured hand-prints.

For the inside of the card we coloured a beautiful tulip and wrote down a little poem to tell our mothers that they are so special for us!

We also used our scissors to cut out the shape of a vase which we later glued on to the picture.

We had such fun and learned such a lot while we were preparing our card and gift. Most of all we were very happy to show our mothers how much we love them!
