    Ideas for research

    Choose different locations where there is a body of water and research:
    1. Measure and compare water purity, salinity and temperature.
    2. Try to measure the size of the waves during different weather conditions.
    3. Measure the difference between the tides.
    4. Observe the pollution of all three sites
    Can the children make a device for measuring transparency? According to how deep you can see depends on water cleanliness.
    5. Pupils can also make a small salt production lab: bring the same amount of sea water from all three sites, let it dry and see how much salt is left and why.

    Research ideas for bottled mineral water

    1. Students collect labels from mineral or bottled bottles.
    2. Students study the chemical composition of the water specified on the label.
    3. Students compare the percentages of mineral substances on the labels.
    4. Students identify the sources of mineral water in their country.
    5. Students explore the usefulness of mineral waters.
