This project includes the mobility of students on work placement from three high schools joined into a consortium that teach the same and related occupations.
The main problems of the schools in facilitating student practice are:
1. Dislocation or even the lack of adequate facilities for work placements; moreover, executing practice with local entrepreneurs and private facilities, with which the schools have signed contracts, that do not have adequate material conditions, do not apply modern technological processes, nor have the necessary pedagogical competences to transfer the skills to students in accordance with the needs of the labour market.
2. Professional practice in reality does not sufficiently create an advantage in finding future employment. The knowledge, skills and competences adopted during the same have no impact on strengthening the competitiveness of the students on the labour market in the environments of the members of the consortium.
The specific objectives of the project are in line with the European educational priorities and strategies for vocational education, and specific in relation to the needs of participants. These are: introduction to new equipment and technologies in the profession; getting to know the different organization of the work, through the exercise of professional practice in companies/workshops; getting acquainted with cultural and history heritage of the host country; the improvement of social and communication skills; encouraging the development and improvement of transversal skills: critical thinking, taking initiative, problem solving, participation in team work; popularization of technical occupations.
On the mobility to Spain and Slovenia in the school year 2018/2019 we are sending 32 students and 9 accompanying teachers from three high schools of the consortium, as follows:
