A PLASTIC SEA
At I.E.S. Ramón Arcas Meca we celebrated the World Day of Environment with an exhibition with rubbish and plastics taken on the beach during the cleaning campaign. Our idea was to create a plastic sea with waves made with blue painted plastics. On this wave of plastic students have created different animals or marine beings. The exhibition was lying under the main stairs, so everybody in our school has been able to watch it. We are very glad with the results. Blue lights and recorded sound of waves helped us to create a sea atmosphere...
Outside, on the playgroung of our school we put this giant map in which we show where the plastic islands are around the world. All the garbage was taken on the beach of Cape Cope in Aguilas. Even from outside the school it could be seen!
