“Step by step towards your own business“ is a Student's Handbook to be used by both students and entrepreneurship beginners.

The innovativeness of the handbook is reflected in the multimedia content presenting the topic of entrepreneurship, as well as the self-study guide concept of the Handbook enabling students’ self-regulated learning to acquire competences in the field of entrepreneurship. The aim of the Handbook is to allow young people to learn how to open and successfully operate a small business or a start-up, in a simple, fun and easy to understand way.

The Handbook was created by teachers participating in the Erasmus+ project “Start your own business”. The project is aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills and encouraging self-employment of students of different profiles, interests and competences. It is the international team and cooperation of partner schools that makes this Handbook applicable and impartial. Also, the topic of entrepreneurship is made real and accessible to all with the emphasis on practical learning and the compilation of partner school experiences presented through students’ work.

During the project, students set up their own training firms and acquired the necessary competencies to start their own business. Their examples are presented at the end of the Handbook. We hope that this will develop students' innovativeness, initiative and creativity, which are necessary for adaptation in the dynamic labour market.
