Here at TCHS we have invested in beanbags and book boxes in our English classrooms. Students can come during their free time and read in a comfortable, relaxing environment.
We celebrated WBD at TCHS with a variety of activities. Students had quizzes and reading hunts around school. In lessons they were able to create book reviews and alternative front covers for their favorite books.
We planned a literary night in our school for a broad audience of teachers, students, parents and book lovers.
In the Belgian school we organised an event called 'The masked reader'. Just like in the television show 'The masked Singer' our teachers put on a mask and they read a short story aloud. Our students had to guess who was the masked reader of that week. In the link you can see an English version of our Masked Reader!
The Belgian school organised a reading hour, where we gave our students 1 hour to read for fun!
