  • Bebras Computing Challenge

Pupils of our School Experimental Gymnasium of Agion Anargyron participated the week from 25th to 29th November at the Bebras Computing Challenge2019.

The Bebras Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students.
It is organized in over 40 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing

The Bebras challenges are made of a set of short problems called Bebras tasks and are delivered online. The tasks are fun, engaging and based on problems that Computer Scientists often meet and enjoy solving. The tasks can be solved without prior knowledge but instead require logical thinking.

Computational thinking involves using a set of problem-solving skills and techniques that software engineers use to write programs and apps. Examples of these techniques would include the ability to break down complex tasks into simpler components, algorithm design, pattern recognition, pattern generalization and abstraction (Bebras UK).
