Our second meeting of students and teachers was held in Dreiech, Germany. Heinrich Heine Schule organised the event from January 28 to February 2.
After the arrivals on Monday, we paid Frankfurt a visit on Tuesday. The exhibition „Like you“ at the museum of communication introduced the students to the topic of our meeting “Virtual and real friendship“.
On Wednesday we started our three types of workshop which lasted until Thursday and was finalized in a presentation of the results on Friday.
The first workshop was the “expert“ workshop led by Tobias Gelz, teacher at Heinrich Heine School. The students developed guides on the topic of real and virtual friendship using chromebooks. Working in multinational groups the product of this workshop will be a useful tool to be used in all partner schools.
In the arts workshop students were able to express their idea of virtual and real friendship in a creative way. Andreas Kossbiel, teacher at Heinrich Heine school was responsible for this workshop.
A challenging yet fun workshop: Our theatre workshop in cooperation with TLS theatre group, Frankfurt. Students came up with their own little scenes on the topic.
Workshops finished on Thursday. Another activity on that day was the visit at the local cinema, watching the film “Ready Player One“. The film connected to our project’s and meetings topic in a meaningful way.
The presentation of the workshop results in front of students, teachers and the local press was our last highlight of the week only to be followed by the farewell party on the last evening of this wonderful week.
