Last week we prepared Scratch cards for you and a small gift. After we sent letters and we hope they will arrive soon! Let us know what you think and...have fun! ;-)
In the month of Sep and Oct, we started to use Scratch and I am very pleased to see the progress we all make. It is particularly nice to see how well you two implement our Scratch initiative into your classroom activities.
What I will suggest in this video is to start moving towards our BBC Micro:bit devices, and for you Ahmet, to try to introduce the excellent and free coding online platform of this device. We would love to put any programme codes we receive from Turkey into action and record the results. I hope you like this idea Ahmet and that sometime in Nov - Dec, you`ll send us some or your kids can even leave them for us on Padlet?!
Please let me know if Scratch would be something you wanted to keep for long as I can assure you that our kids love it...!
Last week, we received a Scratch code from our English partner. They sharing their code Scratch and we tryied it!
During the day, in P2 class we read the letter received and we knew the English currency. After we introduced Scratch and we tryied Scratch code of our partner.
Finally we tried to change the stage and add new sprites!

Using Code Club (www.codeclub.org.uk) offers many great benefits and it is free for schools. As you can see on the list above, the website offers a well-balanced selection of coding programmes with lesson plans, however, I have also added some extra content (.pdf files), which can be used with almost any age-groups! :)
In the month of October and November, our focus is on Scratch. Scratch is a visual programming language and online community targeted primarily at children. Users of the site can create online projects using a block-like interface. It is translated into more than 70 languages, in case you were worried about the usability of this programme among your very young children.
As we discussed it over our very recent TPM in Turkey, please introduce this interface to your pupils and join in our activites. Should you need any further help, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Balazs

Thanks to initiative "Code Week", today P2 class kids start coding with games of code.org website (in Italy https://www.programmailfuturo.it). They completed the course 2 "Maze" for 6-7 group ages. Because the coding is strong! :-)
