Tinkering / Programming / Printing 3D (Poland)

    • In October 2019, we had mobility to Poland. The topic of the guide was tinkering,programming and 3D  printing. We conducted training and workshops in this field, during which participants gained new skills, but also had a lot of fun. Many creative works were created. On October 26. We organised workshops on design and 3D printing . At the beginning of the classes, the young people were introduced to the secrets of free software SCULPTRIS3D. After that, project groups were established and work began. Each group was tasked with creating a model of a randomly selected animal (dog, earthworm, duck, snail, pig, the modeled objects had to be imported into the tinkercad program. In this program, special bases with the name and map of the country were created. After almost two hours of designing, work was collected and students started 3D printing. The classes were conducted by probably one of the best 3d designers in the village - Leszek Parys, M.Sc.Students created cards with sound or light using the Tinkering Set.The next activity was soldering - the students' tasks were to solder the cut wires so that the light bulb shone.Another task was sewing buttons, creating decorative emblems from fabric scraps, etc. Besides, another task was to prepare creative sandwiches from prepared food products that were consumed with great willingness. We have also prepared many cultural activities and trips. Older youth visited the museum in Oświęcim. Everyone participated in trips to Krakow, Tarnowskie Góry (Historic Silver Museum), Częstochowa (Jasna Góra). We went for a walk around Koszęcin and told interesting stories and legends related to the history of the town. We took part in dance workshops prepared by the instructors of the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble. Stanisław Hadyna. It was a very intense week, we learned a lot and our project partners took nice memories with them.
