    San Severo

    San Severo, in the heart of the ancient Daunia, is located in the northern part of the Tavoliere tableland and 30 km away from Foggia.

    A stroll in the historic centre of San Severo is a way to enjoy the baroque and elegant Reinassance decorations. It is worth to get lost among the maze of streets and alleys and leave yourself be amazed by the elegant Verdi Theatre, by the eighteenth-century Palazzo dei Celestini, nowadays the Municipality seat, by the churches of San Nicola and San Severino and by the baroque facade of the Monastery of Benedictine nuns, seat of the Court.

     

     

    The heart of the town is the Cathedral of Assunta, together with the wonderful Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Soccorso, while the route to several noble palaces, such as Palazzo Curtotti, Rispoli, Cavaliere, Gervasio is a route amid the marvels of art and amid the art collections of the palaces belonging to the families Pazienza, Postiglione, D’Amelio.

     

     

     

    The pride of the town is the excellent wine, among the first wines in Italy for the production and sale, awarded the PDO brand.

     

     

    The cartoonist Andrea Pazienza, who spent his childhood in San Severo, is buried here.

     

     

     

    Our School

    The "Petrarca - Padre Pio" Secondary School has got two buildings located in different part of the town. There are ore than 800 students all aged between 11 and 13. Some students follow specific music lessons. In fact, in the afternoon they learn to play a musical instrument, such as the piano, the guitar, the clarinet and the trumpet.

    Certifications to assess their English language knowledge are done at the end of every school year. 

    Today, two Erasmus + Projects have been undertaking with different Eropean partners.
