    Lithuania: Flash Mob "We are the world, we are the children"

     

    In most countries of the world Flash Mob is an essential part of the youth culture. The aim of the young is to pay attention of hurrying people or peers on the existing problems.

    One of such events was organized in Debrecenas square on May 10. Passersby were able to spectate a sudden mobilization of young people, which aim was to draw public attention on today’s most popular issues (violence against children, troubles in the world) and that they care about it. Children from Gedminai progymnasium, Vetrunges progymnasium, Vydunas progymnasium, Children’s entertainment center, PI Edukateka and PI Hatora were involved in this campaign. This Flash Mob was a part of Erasmus+ (KA2) Strategic Partnerships between schools project “We are the world, we are the children” and “ANEN”, so students from Croatia, Greece, Romania and Turkey joined the dance.

     

    Turkey: TUBITAK

    Every year TÜBİTAK(The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Science fair is organized by our science teacher Namdar Gürsönmez,as a coordinator and his colleagues.It is a national science project.

    The aim of the fair is to encourage the students to make their own science projects and to afford the students opportunity to display their project to people.

    This year our Erasmus Project “We are the World we are the children” joined this fair on 5th May.It was visited more than two thousand people.

    Lithuania: PROJECT FAIR

     

    Klaipeda region’s educational institutions “Project Fair” was held in Gedminai progymnasium on 4th February.  The fair was really fruitful – there were 55 projects presented from Klaipeda, Klaipeda district, Silute district and Plunge educational institutions. Students, teachers and various education related individuals from 30 institutions creatively presented school, national, international (Erasmus+, Lifelong Learning, eTwinning, Nordplus, the EU Structural Funds) project activities enriching school life and the whole process of education. Participant innovatively showed their designed products, demonstrated how they are continuing their project activities which have already ended. All the participants shared joyful mood, got new ideas, teachers and students discussed the success of the project, the impact on the institution community, funds, programs and partner search as well as project application and the whole project implementation. Honored guests of the event from The department of Education and Culture of the municipality of Klaipeda City, Klaipeda Teachers` Center for Culture and Education and Klaipeda Pedagogical Psychological Service were delighted by excellent presentations.

    Probably the best assessment of the event was participants‘ impressions, experiences recorded on the evaluation wall and the questions „Will we be able to participate again next year?“

    The prizes for the “Project Fair” attendees were established by Education Exchanges Support Foundation, JSC „Eurobiuras“ and PI “Edukateka”.

       The team chose the story and they started to record the third story.

        Students has already strated to find the third story. According their researches, they found some hero stories. Students updated the history corner and determined the third story.

         

          

     

    Lithuania: An evening get-together

     

    A get together meeting of Erasmus + (KA 2) inter-school strategic partnerships "We Are the World, We Are The Children" and "Active in nature, enjoying the nature!" participants was held in progymnasium on 9th December. Students according the given information from project partners prepared interesting presentations about Romanian, Spanish, Croatian, Norwegian, Greek, Turkish and French Christmas traditions. Participants took lessons on how to dance partners’ folk dances and play games.

    The evening passed by quickly and it was fun for all to escape from daily routine and troubles, to stay together.

           

     

     

     

    Lithuania: Christmas Card workshop

    3 December was the day, when the students participating in a project gathered together for a workshop, where the Christmas cards were made. A cozy talk about Christmas traditions in Lithuania and other project partner countries helped to understand how unique each country is, to feel the upcoming holiday. The time in a workshop has passed quickly and the own made postcards cheered project partners and the elderly living alone.

     

     
     

     

     

    Greece: Making the 2nd story for the project

             

    Lithuania: Educational activities in the Museum of the History of Lithuania Minor

    On the first day of winter project students changed their learning in a school into the learning in a museum – it was the day of learning differently. Gedminai progymasium students attended educational programs “Klaipeda: from the royal capital to the port city”, “The path of bread”, “The lost city”. Students deepened their knowledge about the history of Klaipeda city development from the eighteenth century up to nowadays, listened to the story about the grain sowing, harvesting, threshing and binding, cleaning, milling and baking process, acknowledged with all the old Klaipeda region tools used for beard baking. They did all the given interesting activities.

    Lithuania: Get-together with parents

    On 11th November the students who participated in learning activities in Greece, their parents, and teachers working on the project met in our Progymnasium. During the meeting students presented learning activities in Greece, shared their impressions, cultural and historical knowledge. Everyone was warmed and excited about pleasant impressions from a partner country, informal communication concerning significance and benefit, future activities.

    Lithuania: Quiz-contest, Brain Battle

    On a homelike evening,  19th February, there was a  quiz-contest, Brain Battle, of participants of Comenius multilateral school partnership project "United in nature - national nature, international heritage" and Erasmus + (KA 2) strategic partnerships project "We are the world, we are the children". The students, their parents and teachers tried very hard and did their best answering questions about the project partners countries. Video questions were sent from our partners from Turkey, Spain, Norway and Romania. All the participants not only had fun, checked their knowledge, but also learned some new things. The team Pūdai2 won the game, but all participants were  awarded with sweet prizes and good mood.

    One cosy evening on May 4th the participants of Erasmus + (KA2) Strategic Partnership Project „We are the world, we are the children“: students who participated in learning activities in Turkey and Romania, their parents, and teachers working on the project met in our Progymnasium. During the meeting students presented learning activities in Turkey and Romania, shared their impressions, cultural and historical knowledge, tried to teach other participants some Turkish and Romanian words. Everyone was warmed and excited about pleasant impressions from a partner country, informal communication concerning significance and benefit, future activities.


     

    Lithuania: Integrated regional project 'Unified cultural differences'

    On 21st May our progymnasium commemorated the World Day of the cultures, whose main goal is to preserve national identity, freedom and cooperation, to develop tolerance for other cultures and to each other. That day there was held the final event of integrated educational languages ​ - dance – IT project  “Unified cultural differences”. We had students and teachers of our school social partners from Klaipeda Herman Zuderman gymnasium, Priekulė Ieva Simonaitytė gymnasium, Klaipeda Jeronimas Kačinskas music school. There were presented the ongoing international programs (Comenius Multilateral School Partnership Project “U3N”, Erasmus + strategic partnerships project" We Are the World, We Are The Children”, an exchange project "Cultural Bridge: Klaipeda-Berlin”, a Comenius bilateral project" Shared Treasures "and Comenius Multilateral School Partnership Project F.I.V.E.) and the countries that are taking part in them, their culture and traditions. Pupils presented interesting reports and performed folk dances. The event provided an opportunity to understand the importance of cultural diversity better.
