DAY 4: 28.01.2018

  • DAY 4: 28.01.2018

VISITING "THE STORY OF BERLIN" AND CITY TOUR

We started the day by taking the train to Kurfürstendamm, where we visited The Story of Berlin.

We first went down to a bunker from the Cold War, which was a very interesting experience. Our guide told us that 900 people would live there if they were to be evacuated, but there was only room for 800. In total there were 16 bunkers in the western part of Berlin. The humidity would be around 80-90%, meaning that the people would be wet all the time. The living conditions were terrible and hard to imagine for us.

After the bunker we visited the museum, where we were handed questions focusing on the history of Berlin. After the museum we went on a city tour with a bus, and our partners told us about the different buildings we drove by.

The day was very interesting and fun, and we learnt quite a bit about Berlin's history.
