Students will explore the extraordinary case of the Greek national poet Dionysios Solomos (1798- 1857). The poet, whose “ Hymn to Freedom “ is the National Anthem of Greece , got his education in Italy, Cremona in particular, one of the partner cities. He wrote poems in Italian first, then in Greek, he lived in both countries and got influenced by both cultures.
