The trail brings the walker to the foot of El Marturi ridges and La Mola del Boix, imposing forty metres scarps. The route begins with a steep slope up to El Marturi troughs, and from there the path levels out among forests of Scots pine and European Black pine mixed with beech (Fagus sylvatica), signalling the Partial Nature Reserve of Les Fagedes dels Ports, the southernmost of the Iberian Peninsula. When these forested areas begin to thin out, the effort of the climb is rewarded with panoramic views from El Caro to El Regatxol and the river Ulldemó, passing through the Montaspre and La Mola de Catí.
