Istituto Comprensivo Calenzano is a public scholastic institution that includes the following schools:
Our pupils attend our different schools (some of which are in the town centre area, some in the different neighbourhood and villages that form the vast rural area of the municipality of Calenzano) from 3 to 13/14 years old. At the end of this long 'journey' with us, they usually continue their further education either in the city of Florence, or in other surrounding towns (Prato, Sesto Fiorentino...).
All our schools share the same educational values and principles, targets and aims, stated in a public document which is the base of the cultural and planning identity of each school. it is called Piano dell'offerta Formativa, and It defines every three years the curricular, extra-curricular, educational and organisational projects of each school
European partnership projects are highly valued by the schools, the teachers, the whole community. The last project we took part in was a Comenius project called 'Speak-Up! (Ex)changing visions of Europe' and it saw us meet and collaborate with schools from Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden.
