Day 1, Monday 9th April 2018

• Visit of the school I.S.I.S. “Duca degli Abruzzi”- Viale Artale Alagona, 99. Activity organized by a team of students and teachers experts in marine topics.

Students had the opportunity to visit a professional school, attend chemistry class, see the monitor rooms, see presentations done by students on the way they work as well as videos. It was perfectly connected to our topic on Marine Tourism and was followed by a walk to the port.

• Visit of the school sailing boat. A tour onboard was expected but due to a rough sea it was not possible. Anyway students and teachers could get on board and see the sailing boats. Students from the school explained that in summer they go on a one-month tour with their teachers to work.

 

Day 2, Tuesday 10th April

• Official opening of the Conference activities . Welcome Meeting at the hosting school:
  Reception, speeches, a presentation of the school including a show,  prepared by hosting pupils and teachers.

• Teachers’ Coordination and Organization of Pupils’ Workshop Groups with all their pupil participants. They prepared their visit to Taormina around three workshops: history and geography, flora and fauna, general presentation.

• Short Self-Introductions of pupils’ delegates from each partner school: France, Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic  and Italy.

• Guided Tour of the school premises, organized by host pupils. Some teachers and students attended classes.

• Coordinators’ meeting to prepare the meeting in Denmark.

 

Day 3, Wednesday April 11th

Students and teachers spent the day in Taormina, discovering the city and its surrounding and visiting the places they had worked on during the workshops. They took photos and videos. There was a guide to explain everything in English.

 

Day 4, Thursday April 12th

• workshops to finish their work on Sicily,

• the coordinators’ meeting.

 

Day 5, Friday 13 April, 2018

• Students from different workshops present their work to the whole groups. Party. End of the week.

• Departure of French and Danish delegations in the afternoon, Hungarian and Czech leaving on Saturday
