PROJECT SCHEDULE

  • -TOWARDS A COMMON GOAL-

    Our project is intended to last 9 months starting from September.

    SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER

    AIM: GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

    -Teachers presentantions and feedback on topic to research.

    -Partners should introduce their national eTwinning team, school and town where the students live. Different ICT resources can be used according to choice.

    -Analysing ICT resources to be used for the making of videos and activities in class.

    -Creating a mindmap or infographic with the different topics we will be working on. 

    ICE BREAKING ACTIVITIES

    -Assigning teams and presenting the project and schools to the children to set the background and purpose.

    GAME: SECRET PARTNERS: http://www.voki.com/ Each country produces a voki with hints to be guessed by the other schools. The hints will be related about the geography, cultural aspects, etc…

    We live in a country that is…People in this country like…We are known for being…the weather is…the landscape, etc.

    VIDEO : after the guessings we will make a video so children can see their partners and feel motivated about the project. This could be done by the end of month.

    QUIZZES: we introduce the schools with a quiz and children learn about the simmilarities and differences. This information about the

    WHO IS WHO. We take a photo of all the class and run a quiz to see if they identify their eTwinning classmates. Things related to physical appearance.

    OCTOBER-NOVEMBER

    AIM: WORKING ON PREJUDICES AND LEARNING ABOUT THE COUNTRIES.

     

    1. OUR AREAS:  using https://www.tripline.net/ we´ll create an interactive map with factual information about the countries they come from.

     

    2. WHAT WE ARE REALLY LIKE: students are asked to brainstorm what they think about the partner countries as in the example.

    This will give information of the prejudices and stereotypes people have from the countries and they will compare their findings with the initial idea they had in mind.

     

    3. CREATING A LOGO: students will be asked to design a logo in their teams for the travel agency.

    We will post all the logos in a virtual exhibition http://www.classtools.net/3D/ and we will vote for the most creative one. https://www.tricider.com/

     

    4. PUPPET MASKOT: in their teams they creat their puppet maskots to be used when filming their videos. Each child in the team will have a finger puppet. These puppet maskots will be used for the blog for the “who we are section”.

    NOVEMBER-APRIL

    AIM: CREATING A BLOG FOR THE TRAVEL AGENCY. INVESTIGATING ON TOPICS.

     

    1. CREATING  A LAPBOOK (mindmap) TO BE USED FOR THE VIDEO. Students analyse their topics and create their lapbooks with information about the topic. This lapbook will be used for writing the script and audio-visual footage.  It will also be a travel brochure to be posted in our blog.

    2. VIDEOS

    Exploring and creating  3-minute videos in groups explaining facts, customs and ideas from their country; based on a different topic each month. They will investigate, study and summarize their research, developing the 4C's theory and different communicative skills in English and in their mother tongue.

    FEBRUARY

    International puppet festival in Thorigné-Fouillard France. French partner school will tell us about this festival.

     

    3. Working on the blog and organising the videos.
