Project Info and Kickoff Meeting

  • To strengthen European cooperation and integration among education and schools is one of the main goals of the ERASMUS+-Project „CAM-Station“. Four Schools of four European countries - Germany, Austria, Romania and Slovenia - co-operate within this project–– all schools teach in the area of technical and/or vocational education. Students and apprentices at the age of16 to 18 years train themselves in international collaboration within their education. The subject is a miniaturized CAM-Station designed for training and education. This CAM-Station shows all essential features of an industrial automatic production line.

Six transnational groups were set up:

    • Mechanics
    • Electrical Engineering/Pneumatics
    • Automation
    • A language group responsible for the creation of a dictionary with technical terms in the different languages
    • Educational concepts to promote weaker students as well as their assessment
    • Public relations with reports and results of the different working groups

The approved project is going to run for three years. It is going to be evaluated by external experts. All project work will be integrated into regular lessons at each school. Regular status reports and accompanying evaluation concepts during the project complete the whole work.

The official project started with the initial meeting which took place from December1st. to 25th 2014. The international team spirit was strengthened during a common dinner and cultural events.

Furthermore the guest students gained insight into a business day of the German apprentices as well as a view into the German vocational system. During the week representatives of companies such as Festo Didaktik or Bystronic visited the students and the teachers.
