Students share information about places in their town where they can keep fit.

Several schools in Chernivtsi have modern sports grounds and their number is growing each year. In our school there’s a big football pitch with natural grass, a sports ground with different poles, ladders and bars and a sand pit for jumps. There’s also a basketball court and a ground for military training. Students of our school have their PT lessons in one of two gyms or outside, in the school sports ground.

As to the city, there are a lot of sports clubs and fitness centres, stadiums and several swimming pools. There are  also six free open-air fitness grounds where people can come during the day and do sports free of charge. There is such a fitness ground not far from our school in a football club across the street and students from our school have a chance to visit it during spring and during the school summer camp.

A new rope park has been a popular pastime for children for a couple of years. It is located in the same district as our school and is open for visitors in the warm seasons. https://cv.vj.ua/rope_park

Besides stadiums and fitness centres there are also thirteen sports schools in Chernivtsi where students can join all kinds of extracurricular sport activities from cycling, track and field and orienteering to wrestling, boxing, martial arts and archery.

We are looking forward to the reconstruction of the swimming pool in the neighbouring school which is going to take place next year. Like our school they have won the NEFCO energy efficiency project and funding to repair and modernise their swimming pool according to the European standards. We hope students from our school will be able to have swimming lessons there as well.

Finally, there is a huge recreational complex  just outside of our city. It is very popular with students. They often visit it with their teachers during the first week of summer and together with their families throughout the summer. http://akva-plus.com/vidpochynok/sport-ta-dozvillya.html
