SHORT DESCRIPTION

We hope through this project to unite students from the participating countries. The main aim of this project is to establish a mutual friendship among students from different countries and schools, using several means of communication . They will have the opportunity for personal expression .They will also share information about their school life ,their daily lives and their culture.

AIMS

To encourage pupils to learn to know each other and, hopefully, become friends. To motivate students to know about customs, culture ,traditions and the lifestyle of the region /country they live in. They will collaborate and create different products promoted to other participants ( culture box) To learn about our different educational systems , their life in school and their everyday life. To develop our pupils’ abilities to communicate in a foreign language, share information and connect virtually. To enhance our pupils’ ICT skills and facilities To develop our pupils’ understanding and enrich their knowledge about different European countries and cultures and thus overcome their prejudices and increase tolerance Break down barriers of ignorance and appreciate the diverse culture of the European partners

WORK PROCESS

Students will:

- make a PowerPoint presentation about themselves (express their likes , thoughts, feelings and opinions , ambitions , poems /songs they like.)and their school and share it on the Twinspace of the project.

- write about a typical day in their lives and share it on the project's Twinspace (describe the school time, the subjects timetable and the activities / labs / projects; talk about their favorite subjects; what they do in the after school time ( extracurricular activities and homework)

- create an ebook presenting their favorite folk tale.

Partners have to: - present the most important school events (happening during the project) -

prepare a culture box in which they will include small objects representing their culture.

- create and sing a song related to the topic of the project (common video)

- fill a common questionnaire for evaluating the project.

EXPECTED RESULTS

School societies will be informed about the project outcomes on the notice board , on the school blog and on the school newspaper . There will be a Twinspace where the whole process will be presented to expand knowledge about European countries and acquire the feeling of belonging to a wider culturally diverse community, so that powerful friendships will be created. The students will improve language and ICT skills.
