When students have to say goodbye, it is always very sad, people crying, people hugging each other...all very nice and it makes teachers think about the good work done and the experience that these students will remember forever.

On Saturday-  arrival day for all groups – we started with some icebreaking activities.

On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday morning teachers and students  participated in sports , walking and activities which took place in the region of Via Verda. Especially  on Sunday all of us had the chance to admire the landscape of Fontcalda. In the afternoon students played games together and could discuss about their own traditions and cultures. We also worked on the topic about inclusion and disability by playing some games. There were students with special needs that were completely integrated and included in all activities.

On Monday morning we played some sports mixing students from the different countries and with disabilities. After, students and teachers got familiar with a tradition related to St George’s day. For this reason we visited the village Bot, where students and principles had prepared an event in the center of the village and at the primary school  as according to the tradition men and women exchange roses and books. Students attended also the presentations that the students of Bot had prepared for their region. The activities in Bot finished for the students with a visit to a winery of the area and then they could play traditional games of the area with the association of elderly people in Bot.

On Tuesday and after walking to Horta de Sant Joan, we visited Picasso’s Museum and admired his first pieces of  art. In the evening, students had time to enjoy themselves.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday evening all countries presented to the participants their country, their town and their school as also some traditional games, dances and food.

Wednesday was dedicated to a trip to Barcelona. A guided tour gave us the possibility to learn about the cathedral, the gothic and historical center of BCN.

On Thursday, and while students played in groups traditional games and did sport activities, teachers had a meeting with the headmistress and the principles of the town and some interesting visits for oil tasting. As the region is also known for its wine, we visited some cellars, where the owners explained us a lot about production and wine tasting.

Students did some works related to inclusion and disabilities and the need to break barriers in order to be inclusive in all spaces around us.

On Thursday evening there was a dinner party where all students and teachers could share traditional food and they could dance the typical dances from every country. Students filled in a questionnaire for evaluating their experience in this C2.

On Friday, everybody could fly home and saying goodbye was not easy.
