I want to share a short summary about social exclusion in this photo. Everyone of us sometimes feels socially excluded, because we think and believe in different things than others. In this photo a girl is hidden in a shadow, because people often are hiding their opinions, they don't want to be lonely and pushed away.

Performance Kazys Binkis The Undergrowth (Atžalynas) Director Jonas Vaitkus, 2004 Lithuanian National Prie Winner. The play is a model of a mechanism how society makes an innocent person its enemy - total social exclusion. Very powerful play.

This is a very old Russian cartoon telling the story of a kid which knew how to count. Nobody else know how to count, so it was a different kid . All the animals were afraid of him and evasive. Finally the kid with his counting ability, helped other animals. This story teaches that if you are different, that doesn't mean you are bad.

This is a song by a famous rapper Macklemore "Same Love" about homosexual people and their place in society. I think that these people are often excluded because of that.

This is an old Russian cartoon film "An ugly duck" ("Bjaurusis ančiukas") based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy-tale is an example of a social exclusion. An ugly duck was born different and because of this he feels insecure, timid and lonelly. But actually, an ugly duck was a little swan.. So, this story is telling us that we can't judge people from the first look we see them.
