They chose these paintings by Dalí because they found the idea of very heavy elephants with such thin legs very inspiring.
This is one of the originals we observed:
First, they drew the elephants following oral instructions and traced the lines with markers. Then, they took a wet brush and went over the lines, so the water turned into watercolour. After that, they coloured the background with wax crayons and drew shadows of the elephant's legs. Finally, they cut a piece of paper and glued it on the elephant.
