Our Games

  • Our pupils play traditional games in the playground with the help of their P.E. teachers, Mr Giorgos in Patra and Miss Laura in Caldes de Malavella. Then their partners watch the videos of the games and try to guess the rules!

     

    Greek Game 1

    Guessing the rules (by Catalan team):

    • Number of players: up to 4
    • There are 2 teams and a tower of blocks in the middle.
    • One team tries to destroy the tower throwing a ball (one at a time)
    • The same team that destroys  the tower has to build it again while the other team tries to destroy the tower or "kill" the players. (by Lili, Emma, Naim and Alexis)
    • There are unlimited steps
    • The winner team is who can build the tower or "kill" all the players of the other team (Albert, Iu, Biel and Maria N.)

    Spanish Game 1

    Geussing the rules by the Greek team E2

    They play in a gym (optional)

    There is a child in the centre, the hunter. (Yes! We call it 'the spider'(aranya).)

    The other children are in one side and they try to get to the other side. The hunter tries to touch the children without leaving the centre line. (Yes!)

    When the hunter touches a child, this child becomes a hunter, too, and stands in the centre line. (Yes!)

    There are 6 hunters in one line and there are 6 more in a second line. (It depends on the number of hunters.)

    The children count to 3 and they try to cross. (When someone takes a long time to cross, the other children count down to 10. In this time, the children have to cross.)

    The last child is the winner! (YES!)

     

    Greek Game 2

    Guessing rules by Spanish team 1:

    1. One person says a name for exemple " Maria " and throws a ball. (Yes)
    2. Maria goes to takes the ball. (Yes)
    3. The other childrens run away (Yes)
    4. When  Maria takes the ball the other childrens stop (Maria shouts 1-2-3-STOP)
    5. Maria can do 3 steps and  throw the ball. (Yes)
    6. You can move all the body but you can't move feet. (You mustn't move at all or you are out)
    7. If the ball touches a child, he or she is out of the game. (Yes)

     

    Greek Game 3

    Spanish guessing by group 2:

    • The children make two teams. (yes)
    • Each team chooses which number they are. (The teacher gives the numbers the pupils are)
    • Then, the teacher shouts a number and the child from each team that has that number has to run to where the handkerchief is. (yes)
    • if one team catch the handkerchief run back, with its team. But if the other team catches the child with the kerchief, the point is for the other team. (yes)

    Spanisgame 2

    Greek group E1 guesses the rules of Spanish game 2

    • There are groups. Girls' groups and boys' groups (it can be boys and girls or a mixed group)
    • The groups sit on the floor holding each other in a row (yes)
    • One kid pulls the first kid of the row until the kid is out of the row.(yes)
    • Then this kid helps the first kid and they both try to pull the next kid in the row. (good!)
    • The winner is the team that holds its players longer in the row (yes, good job!)

     

    Spanish Game 3

    Rules guessed by group E2.

    • There are 2 groups (here, boys and girls) (yes)

    • There are borders for each team. A boy is behind the girls and a girl is behind the boys (yes, only at the begining)
    • The boy throws the ball to the other boys and a boy tries to hit a girl with the ball (yes)
    • That girl gets out, takes the ball and throws the ball to the other girls who are outside the borders (yes, but because the boy is "dead")
    • One girl tries to throw the ball above the boys to the girls. One girl catches the ball and tries to hit a boy in the group (yes)
    • If a boy is hit, he takes the ball, goes out and gives the ball to another boy (not a boy, to a girl)
    • He hits the ball on the floor and starts the next round (no, the game continues)
    • The winner is the team with the most children in the group (yes!)
