SpaCiality - My place in Space

This project aims to be an introduction to Space awareness related topics in order to inspire a new generation of space explorers. Students should become familiar with the basic concepts of the Universe, be aware of time and spatial dimensions, raise awareness about the distances in the universe, different space objects, planets and stars, space exploration and its impact in our daily lives.
Many of us imagine Space as dreamy, mystical, interesting and we wonder what’s happening there. We’d also like students to explore different perspectives - scientific, artistic, religious - by letting students use their creativity in an artistic way.

    WORK PROCESS

This project will last one school year (2016-2017).

Partners will try to meet in videoconferences as soon and often as possible throughout the year.

Teachers will prepare some ice breaking activities.

All products and results will be posted and/or uploaded into TwinSpace.

Each partner will collaborate on all or just some of the activities proposed below, trying to integrate "the universe in my classroom" concept in their work the best way possible:

    • Search on space and share the results in the TwinSpace.
    • Create Space related games, quizzes, movies, etc.
    • Create presentations about the planets, stars, solar system, etc.
    • Create slogans and 'jingles'.
    • Represent Space by using any art form.
    • Organize debates on this subject.
    • Organize astronomical observations or any other 'field trips'.
    • Organize or attend expert talks.
    • All ideas welcome! :)

    EXPECTED RESULTS

An ‘out of this world’ collection of works (presentations, animations, videos, games, works of art, drawings, models, songs, etc.) related to the Space theme in its many perspectives.
