    2016 September

35 students (9 years old)  started to explore the home town. First excursion in the old town of Klaipeda with the yellow/blue (eTwinning colors) crowns on the head, because we are  the kings of our city, we love the city, we try to get to know it more and to share our knowledges with project partners. We are going to prepare material about interesting places and objects in our city and insert it into the project.  #outdooractivities

We started to  present our city Klaipeda. Tried to find common things in the partners cities. Children found an information on internet - 82 European cities have Mermaid sculptures in, Klaipeda as well. So, we asked our partners -have you Mermaid sculpture in your city?
We got an answer from Warsaw.

Children were studying European map and and flags of the countries of project partners. They searched partners countries on google and on the wall map; used Google maps to connect partners cities by roads.

    2016 November

It's not a surprise nowadays children of Z generation do not concentrate their attention on one thing long time. It is easier to work with them when they get small tasks with the fast result. So, we created small presentations (like short film "Name of LITHUANIA", collage "Mermaid in Klaipeda"), Bigger material is going to be devided into pieces and later will put all different small tasks/materials into one piece.

Our team started to collect material about Klaipeda as a city on the Baltic sea. We watched filmed material about stormy sea, listened sounds. We investigated map and got to know our neighbours on the Baltic, also visited Klaipeda city centre, where is nice sculpture of the ship made of flowers. Even almost winter in Klaipeda, here are flowers...Children tried to create a sea wave.  #outdooractivities

As you know Klaipeda is a port city.
We visited Lithuanian maritime academy today. There is a small museum, where the Klaipeda symbol is on exposition. Its a model of the ship "Meridianas". We are preparing material about this ship. I prepared material about very special architectural style of old town of Klaipeda and presented it to my children. It was surprising to them, because they haven't possibility to see these buildings every day, their school and home is not in old town of the city. At least they know now how calls this architectural style, which wasn't spread in other Lithuanian cities.

We sent wishes to polish partners for Poland Independence day.
