Ideas for working with BeeBots or BlueBots

  • Reading 1st grade:

Children learn to read words with the help of splitting them in syllabes. After getting to know several letters, they are put together in syllabes. The best way for excersising them is to write them on word cards.

Excercise  1: Put the word cards on the floor. Work in groups. One s tells you, where the BlueBot has to go. The other one has to program the robot to get it to the right card. After a while partners change their role.
Excercise 2:                                                   Finding through putting word cards togetter. (e.g.: ro-bot). The learning objective about this excersise is to build words through connecting several syllabes with each other. The robot has to be coded for a longer distance and words have to be comprehensible.
