We designed the traditional Greek costume (fustanella) with geometric shapes in order to introduce a math section and get to know something of our culture. Now we are waiting to meet your own traditional costumes this mathematically why and mathematics can bring us closer together and know each other better !!!!!!

 

 

This is Polish presentation of Math around us - designing clothes.

In Poland we started our project from the presentation „Maths around us – designing clothes.” After we watched it, we talk about traditional Polish costume. Pupils want to try to see maths by designing two types of costumes with use of geometric shapes. Children could chose and create on their own one of costume – Polish traditional or modern one in Polish national colors. This experience was very inspiring for pupils and they had a lot of fun.
