MY HERO

  • SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER

OUR LITTLE PUPILS ARE PREPARING A PERFORMANCE IN ORDER TO EXPLAIN WHY CARTAGENA COST ROME TWO CROWNS.

THESE DAYS, EVERYBODY IN OUR CITY IS CELEBRATING CARTHAGINIANS AND ROMANS FESTIVAL.

Carthaginians and Romans are a festival of historical character since 1990 are held in the Spanish city of Cartagena during the second half of September and are declared of Tourist Interest Nacional.

In them, mass events commemorated by the historical events occurred in the city during the Second Punic War. events like the foundation of Qart Hadasht by Carthaginian general Asdrúbal the Beautiful, the output of Hannibal to Rome or the conquest of the city by Scipio Africanus are recalled.

Our infants wanted to celebrate this event too, so they dressed themselves as Romans (and their teachers too!)
